The day started like any other: Izuku got up and dressed so that he could have breakfast with Todoroki; although last night's weird atmosphere was still around, they were still friends after all, and that's what mattered the most.

The greenette approached the bicolor slowly as he read the morning news on a tablet on the kitchen counter; surprised, Shouto eyed his roommate with a concerned look from behind the coffee cup.

“Good morning, Todoroki…” Izuku greeted him awkwardly.

The bicolor furrowed his brows at him. “Good morning…?”

Something was off. Izuku thought that, even after their argument, there would be no grudge left between them in the next morning; he knew there would still be a weird mood left, but Todoroki suddenly seemed hostile once more for the looks of it. The greenette sighed tiredly, he really did not want to go through that again.

“Erm… I think you may want to know what it was like with Kacchan last night, right…?” He asked cautiously as he joined the bicolor on the counter.

“No.” Todoroki replied plainly.

Izuku eyed him confusedly. “‘No’...?”

“I want to know the meaning of this before…” Todoroki flipped the tablet’s screen to face him.

Izuku turned his attention to the device in confusion, that was when a shock took over him completely.

“New suitor?

Katsuki Bakugou, owner of the clothing brand Ichiban, showed up at a fashion show last night (XX/XX) with a mysterious young man who introduced himself as Izuku Midoriya. People speculate it’s a new relationship of Bakugou’s due to the mystery kept about his companionship, who was introduced as a ‘dear friend’.

Could Bakugou have other preferences and, because of that, never had a longstanding relationship?”

Izuku froze, that couldn’t be happening.

“Now I ask: what did happen last night?” Todoroki questioned him sternly.

The greenette wetted his lips, frightened. “I-it was no big deal! We watched the show and… and talked. Kacchan also insisted for me to pose with him, but I didn’t think that-!”

Izuku cut himself off as his cellphone buzzed in his pocket. He checked the number on the screen and turned his eyes back to Todoroki.

“Give me a minute…” He said as he answered the call. “Hi, Kacchan…”

Hi, Izuku… You- did you see the article, by any chance?

Izuku sighed inaudibly. “Yes.”

Look, I’m sorry, okay?” Bakugou said promptly. “I didn’t think they’d write that whole nonsense about us. I just want you to know that I have nothing to do-!

“I know, it was the press.” Izuku tranquilized him.

Good… I’m glad you understand… Not that it hasn't crossed my mind, I just don’t wanna push you into something you don’t want to do.

The greenette smiled. “Thanks for understanding.”

Right back at ya… By the way, I was summoned to a conference meeting, I assure you that I’ll clarify this whole misunderstanding.” He said impatiently.

“That’s alright. Thanks, Kacchan.” Izuku was about to hang up when he turned to the bicolor waiting impatiently on the other end of the counter and remembered something. “By the way, what day can we meet so that I can introduce you to Todoroki?”

There was silence on the other end of the line, the bicolor also seemed to have choked on his own saliva.

I almost forgot about that…” Katsuki grumbled. “How about Thursday?

“Thursday? Sounds great! We could go out to dinner.”

I actually prefer for us to meet at my place.

“Your place…? I guess that’s fine, let me check with Tod-”

There wasn’t enough time to finish the sentence, Todoroki took the phone from the hands of the greenette. “Hello, mister Bakugou?”

A disturbing silence dragged by on the other end. “Todoroki, I suppose.” The blonde replied in a dark tone.

“It’s been some time I’d like to talk to you… personally.”

Izuku could be going crazy, but he was sure he saw a vein throbbing on his friend’s temple.

That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking… Does Thursday sound fine? We could go to my apartment for din-

“Absolutely not! We’ll meet at my place.” The bicolor defied with a large smile.

Before that conversation could get more hostile, Katsuki figured it’d be best not to push it so as not to cause a bad impression on the greenette, who was most probably listening to everything.

Fine… I’ll let you make the decision, this time.

Shouto looked bothered by that. “‘This time’...?”

See you then.” The cupid sang before hanging up on his face.

The bicolor glared at the phone in his hand, holding himself back with all strengths not to throw it on the floor; his threatening aura startled the greenette by his side.

“To-Todoroki…?!” The call brought him back to reality.

Looking from the phone to the greenette, Todoroki handed back the device back to him and sighed. “So it was the press.” He said plainly.

“Huh…?” Izuku mumbled confusedly. “O-oh, sure…! Right.”

“And nothing weird happened between you two… right?”

“I said it did not…! Well…”

“Midoriya.” Todoroki warned.

“I-it’s no big deal…! Just… Kacchan turned down the representative of Glamour Cosmetics on the show… Is it weird for me to feel relieved by that?”

The bicolor sighed inaudibly and took a hand to his green locks. “Not that it’s reasonable to give him another chance after what he’s done… Bakugou’s just doing his minimum obligation, which is what he should be doing from the start… I still don’t think you should accept so little.”

The greenette lowered his eyes with his face blushing from trying to hold back his coming tears as his friend let go of his strands.

“Either way, I’m relieved to know there was nothing much… I still worry about the day you’ll give Bakugou a second chance, but I know that’s not up to me…” He added.

Surprised by his friend’s words, Izuku raised his eyes at him with something itching in his throat. “Todoroki…”

“Yes?”

“Erm… I know you said you got over me but, ever since I met Kacchan, you’ve been acting kind of weird… Do you-?”

“What? No, that’s not it!” Todoroki exclaimed, mortified.

“So you don’t like me…? You know… that way?”

“I like you as my friend.”

“Then why are you so overprotective when it’s about Kacchan?” The greenette accused.

Shouto paused for a moment to search for the right words. “It’s more complicated than that… I could explain it to you, but you wouldn’t understand.”

Izuku crossed his arms and stared back at the heterochromatic eyes intensely; he was tired of not understanding what goes on between Todoroki and Kacchan, but he still wanted to trust his friend.

“Right… I won’t keep pushing it, if it tranquilizes you.”

Shouto sighed relieved and smiled. “Thanks, Midoriya.”

“I’m just glad to settle that out.”

“Sure… Sorry if I gave you the wrong idea… Well, I’m off; see you at dinner.”

“See you later, Todoroki!” Izuku replied cheerfully.

Shouto searched for his wallet and keys before leaving towards the garage with his thoughts running amok; he didn’t think he could’ve given Midoriya the wrong idea and felt bad for it, although he would be lying if he said he didn’t need to hold himself back every day not to pounce the small one; there was something about the greenette that drove him to the edge and he still wished to ruin him… like Bakugou did.

He then remembered the set date; Shouto didn’t know what to expect from it and felt uneasy, but maybe things wouldn’t be so terrible in the safety of his home. He still couldn’t be sure of his suppositions, but it all implied that that Bakugou guy was an Incubus, which only made the bicolor suspect his intentions even more, especially upon Midoriya.

He wanted to protect his friend but, if he was right, Bakugou could be not only an Incubus, but also a firstborn, which could mean that Midoriya was his soulmate. Only did he wish to be right about that, but he still wanted to see it with his own eyes.

At nightfall, somewhere around the city, a man of spiky, red hair sat on the edge of a bed covered in red sheets; his hand adorned by tattoos took a cigarette up to his lips and he took a long drag, breathing smoke out in the air right after.

“Tooouyaaaaa.” A deep, female voice sang seductively behind him.

Before he could turn to the owner of said voice, dark-skinned arms laced around his strong chest and he could feel plump breasts pressing against his back. The man tilted his head to the side and accepted the hickey in his neck with all pleasure.

“Got you.” The white-haired woman whispered on his ear.

“I need to leave now, bunny.” He told her.

“Don’t you have time for just one more round?” The woman complained with a pout.

Touya chuckled and quirked a brow at her. “Again? You never tire up, huh?”

“You love that about me.”

“You’re right… but I wasn’t complaining.” He said as he turned his head to tongue kiss her.

“Are you going to visit your brother again?”

The man hummed in confirmation with another drag.

“Ugh… you guys seem pretty close.” She mentioned.

“That’s almost it.” He replied sarcastically as he stood away from her familiar touch and put down the cigarette on the ashtray over the nightstand.

The woman laid down in bed and watched her partner finish getting dressed before turning back to her. “Come here.” He called.

The young, dark-skinned woman kneeled up on the mattress so that she could reach him better and they both laced each other in another heated kiss.

“I’m heading out.” The man announced.

“See you later.” She replied in a whisper.

“Sure.”

With a last peck on her lips and a spank to the lady’s butt, Touya left through the front door.

After a long work shift, Todoroki parked the car in the garage to his home; on his way to the front door, his sensible ears heard footsteps on the grass behind him.

“You again?” He turned towards the Incubus in his human disguise.

“Not even ‘hello’ to greet your eldest brother?” The spiky-haired man mocked.

“What do you want, Touya?” The bicolor asked impatiently.

“Do I need a reason to visit my favorite twerp?” He said sarcastically as he laced his brother’s shoulders. “You grew a lot ever since you matured, I can barely reach you anymore.”

“I don’t have time for this.” Shouto released himself from the hug and went up to the front door.

“You took a human in, didn’t you?” Touya’s words made the bicolor stop halfway. “I can’t understand the compassion you feel for those people… a waste even, that kid seems to be a good ‘appetizer’.”

Shouto turned to him threateningly. “I’m warning you, Touya, if you touch any of my friends, you’ll regret it.” He said in between his teeth.

The redhead scoffed. “‘Friends’, huh…? You’re not of the same species; I don’t know what you want by wasting your time with that kind… but I couldn’t get closer without a hassle. ‘Looks like you have stalkers, Shouto.”

The bicolor furrowed his brows. “What’re you talking about?”

“Every time you leave for work, some Succubi come to watch the house. It’s weird how they don’t take advantage of the ‘meal’ waiting for them inside… That green guy does seem to be special, huh?”

“What-? Wait, how do you know that?!”

“I came to visit your guest when I noticed he had company. Some strange Succubi who just show up to watch the house and then leave when you’re back from work… They just keep stalking all day long, ‘seems boring.”

“Why did you come after Midoriya?” Shouto asked in a disturbing hiss.

“I just found out you were hosting a human when I came to visit one time and felt interested.” Touya shrugged.

“Then you can stay far away from him! And who’re those Succubi you’re talking about?!”

“Easy there, man, I didn’t stay to talk, in case it’s not obvious… but it’s always someone different, I’ve seen several of them: a redhead with spiky hair, a blondie with a dark streak on his hair, a tall one with long hair, a blackie and a pinky one… I guess that’s all.”

Shouto widened his eyes, mortified; he’s seen those faces before.

“Oh? So you know them?” Touya said amusedly.

“Unfortunately… but I may feel relieved for them having shown up.” The bicolor said with a stern glare towards his brother.

The redhead chuckled. “You really don’t know how to enjoy life. It’s just a human! There’re billions of those out there.”

“No… Midoriya is unique.”

The eldest laughed mockingly as he heard that. “I didn’t think you were the type to believe in fairy tales, Shouto!”

The bicolor rolled his eyes. “Why don’t you stop wasting my time and go back to your soulmate? I heard you have found her.”

Touya sighed. “Sometimes Natsu should learn to hold his tongue…”

“Or maybe you should learn not to cheat.” The bicolor turned away and went up to the front door, but then stopped on his tracks and spun on his heels. “By the way, Touya… if you get close to Midoriya again, I don’t give a fuck that you’re our family’s firstborn, I’ll rip your guts out with my bare hands.”

Touya smirked. “There’s something I’d like to see.”

Shouto ignored him, he just turned and entered the house, leaving his older brother behind.

“I’m home.” The bicolor called from the genkan*.

“Todoroki! Welcome back.” Izuku greeted, walking up to his encounter. “Harsh day?”

“You could say so…” Shouto sighed.

“In that case, dinner’s on me, this time!” He said, taking the shopping bags from the bicolor’s hands.

Shouto watched worriedly as the greenette walked into the kitchen and then followed right behind. “Hey, Midoriya… you haven’t been sleeping badly lately, right? Not waking up tired or having weird dreams?”

Izuku eyed him with a confused smile. “Sometimes you ask such weird questions, Todoroki. I’ve been sleeping well, thanks for worrying.”

“I’m relieved.” The bicolor smiled. “I’ll go change.”

“Okay, I’ll call you for dinner in a bit!” Midoriya called from the kitchen.

“Thank you.”

At last, Thursday arrived and, with it, the set dinner at Todoroki’s house.

Katsuki showed up early, ringing the doorbell at 6PM; it was Izuku who answered it for him.

“Oh, Kacchan! You’re early.” He mentioned.

“I was eager to come.” The Incubus explained.

“Come on in! Dinner’s not ready yet, so I guess you can talk with Todoroki or watch TV as I finish.”

Katsuki smirked. “Sounds perfect. By the way, I brought dessert.” He said, handing the greenette a box of pie.

“Wow, thanks so much, Kacchan! I’ll put it in the fridge.”

As Izuku left, Katsuki looked up and saw a bicolor with a scarred face glaring intensely back at him from the other end of the hall, that was when an unmistakable smell penetrated his nostrils.

The cupid hissed, baring his fangs, he then put on his best forced smile as he introduced himself. “Todoroki, I suppose.”

“That’s a great observation, mister Bakugou.” The bicolor replied indifferently.

“Sure…” Katsuki left his shoes on the genkan and climbed up the step to the hallway where he grabbed Todoroki’s hand and shook it. “Now that we can skip introductions… we have a lot to talk.”

“You bet we do.” Shouto replied sternly.

The host guided the way up to the living room, where they both sat as far from each other as possible on the couch in front of the TV; they stared at the other for an excruciating moment until the bicolor spoke the first words.

“I’ll head straight to business… what do you want with Midoriya?”

Katsuki looked offended. “I’m the one who should be asking that!”

“What for? Is there some special connection between you two?”

“Of course there is!” Bakugou exclaimed loud enough to call Izuku’s attention from the kitchen, he then lowered his tone. “I’m a firstborn… Izuku’s my soulmate.”

Todoroki sighed in relief. “I figured that could be it, but I’m glad to confirm it.”

Katsuki raised a confused brow. “Why do you care so much? What do you want with Izuku after all?”

“His friendship is already enough for me.”

“Huh?”

“There’s no other way to say this, mister Bakugou, you’re very lucky to have Midoriya as a soulmate. I won’t lie that seducing him was my first intention but, even if he hadn’t turn me down at first, I wouldn’t have made it to the end… He’s captivating, isn’t he?” He mentioned it with a smile.

His speech only made Katsuki feel confused and worse about himself, he huffed embarrassed for having treated Izuku in such a way. “Yeah, I guess so…” He said slowly.

“You still haven’t quite accepted the fact of having a soulmate, as it seems.”

“After all I’ve seen and been through, it is really hard to accept it.”

“Well, I can’t say I know what it’s like.”

“You’re not a cupid?”

Shouto shook his head. “No, I’m the youngest of four siblings, it was my brother, Touya who’s been assigned to the task. By the way, mister Bakugou, I heard someone’s been watching my house. Would you know anything about that, by any chance?”

Katsuki clicked his tongue. “I sent my friends over to watch Izuku during the day, there’s someone on our backs.”

The bicolor looked disturbed by the sudden news. “What do you mean?”

“Some Himiko chick wants Izuku as her soulmate and thinks she can break the rules to get that, it was just a precaution.”

Shouto went quiet, processing what he just heard. “In that case, I should say I’m relieved that you thought about that; besides, that Himiko girl doesn’t seem to be the only one after Midoriya.”

“Huh?!” Bakugou let out in concern.

“My brother also seems to be interested in him…”

Bakugou huffed impatiently. “I knew I should’ve sent him back home.”

“I can’t control what my stupid brother does.”

“But that’s exactly it.” The cupid retorted. “But, in a way, I might confess that I’m grateful for Izuku having met someone like you.”

Shouto smiled; although they just met, he wasn’t expecting that from him.

“You know… I can’t tell you the same.” His words caught the blonde off-guard. “But you’re trying to give Midoriya a chance and that’s good… he deserves to be treated well.”

“I know he does.”

“Let’s do this, right? For Midoriya.” Todoroki said as he stretched his fist out to him.

The blonde one eyed him curiously, but simply ignored the offer. “Sure… whatever.” He said, slumping on the couch with a pout.

Todoroki smiled; that cupid was the most stubborn he ever met, even more than his brother, but he seemed to be a fun Incubus and the bicolor had hopes he could learn to be better for Midoriya.

Author's Note

I feel like I must explain smth: Touya never actually cheated on Rumi, they have been in a “no commitments” kind of relationship, Shouto’s quote refers to the fact that his brother wasn’t taking things seriously w/ his soulmate, who he didn’t actually want to accept at 1st (go figure)
