Major Changes
*Hashis: The so-called “chopsticks”.

The sun set in the horizon as birds fled from the toll of the church’s bells; in the dressing room, the guys took some final touches to their outfits before the ceremony.
“How can’t you still knot your own necktie?” Katsuki scolded with a smirk as he adjusted his boyfriend’s attire, Izuku giggled awkwardly.
A knock drove their attention to the door. “Come in!” The greenette called.
Uraraka opened a small crack and quickly scanned the room with her eyes. “Excuse me… Izuku, she wants to see you.”
“Oh, sure! I’m coming.” The freckled one replied right away, placing a quick kiss to Kacchan’s cheek as he just finished tying the knot on his tie and jogged up to the door where his friend awaited.
The Incubi watched them both leave and then resumed talking.
“Yeah… things have been changing a lot, lately.” Eijirou mentioned as he checked his reflex on the mirror.
“Yeah, they really have…” Bakugou said distractedly, glancing at the direction the greenette just left.
“Speaking of changes, have you talked to him?” The redhead took his attention off the mirror at his front, speaking with his friend in a stern tone.
The blonde eyed him for a moment before replying. “No, not yet.”
“You gotta make that quick, Katsuki!” Denki cut in. “‘Better get it over with.”
“Do you think I don’t know that?” Bakugou rolled his eyes impatiently. “But… I don’t know if I can do that to Izuku.”
“Katsuki, you know we can’t simply stay and pretend nothing’s happening, people will notice.” Kirishima sighed.
“Tell me something I don’t know!” The blonde one retorted. “But Izuku has a life here… friends, a family.”
“I know it’s hard now that we found our soulmates, trust me, I do! But we can’t stay for much longer, people will suspect us. I know it’s hard on you two, but sometimes even humans need to go through changes, it’s part of life.” Eijirou reasoned.
Bakugou fell silent for a short moment before opening his mouth again. “Tomorrow, at least.” He gave in. “After the wedding, okay? I’m not ruining this day for him.”
“I hope you keep your promise.” The redhead crossed his arms.
“Whatever.” His hot-headed friend rolled his eyes.
At the bride’s dressing room, Izuku knocked on the door before opening a small crack and peeking inside. “Excuse me… did you want to see me?” He called.
The bride turned from the mirror to the door; the white dress fit tightly onto her chubby form, valuing her curves and stopping at a floating hem; long, embroidered sleeves added to it; a veil of the same color was tied to her green hair by a delicate, flowery tiara, covering the waves of her hairdo and she also wore some light makeup, but appropriate for the occasion.
“Please come in, sweetie.” She said with a melancholic smile.
Izuku shut the door behind him and walked slowly up to his mother with a soft smile. “You look beautiful.” He said.
“Thank you, Izuku, you look pretty good too.” Inko mentioned slowly.
“Are you nervous?”
The mother figure paused to search for the right words. “Do you think I’m doing the right thing?”
Her words startled her son. “Why is that?” He asked worriedly.
“I-I don’t know, I… don’t want to make the same mistake again…”
“Mom.” Izuku sighed with a tired smile. “You don’t need to worry… Yagi is nothing like dad.”
Inko sighed sadly.
“I know it’s still hard, but Yagi’s not capable of doing something like that…” The greenette went on. “He’s been by our sides at every big moment until now and helped us get over a mistake my own father made, I’m sure it’s the right choice.”
His mother smiled, holding back her tears so as not to ruin her makeup. “Are you ready to have a stepfather, sweetie?”
“I’ve been looking forward to this moment.”
His words made his mother’s chest feel lighter.
“It’s almost time, right?” Izuku continued as he took the sunflower bouquet from a nearby furniture and handed it to Inko. “Let’s not keep him waiting.”
The bride took the bouquet with a smile and let herself be guided to the altar by her son, who walked her up to Yagi so that they could start the ceremony; the older man’s blue eyes shone dreamingly when he saw Inko walking through the double doors and he waited excitedly until she was by his side.
Even throughout the father’s sermon, Yagi could not keep his eyes off the bride, he nearly messed up a few times due to the distraction. At the end, everything worked out, they were officially married and everyone headed on to the wedding reception.
“It's so weird to see you drinking alcohol.” Uraraka told Izuku.
“Well… I guess you can thank Kacchan for it.” The greenette said slowly, his partner smiled mockingly.
“We sure can! We've been trying to teach you to drink for a long time.” The brunette exclaimed impatiently and turned to the Incubus. “Bakugou did something amazing.”
“Yeah, I guess I can make miracles come true sometimes.” Katsuki bragged to win a nudge on his ribs from Izuku's elbow.
Iida laughed. “It's good Midoriya has met you, Bakugou! You really do complete each other.”
“You have no idea.” The Incubus said teasingly as he caressed the short one's thigh from under the table.
Izuku jolted in his chair, surprised by the sudden touch and slapped Kacchan's hand away when it approached his crotch, their friends laughed as the freckled one blushed with a pout.
Before they could say anything else, someone approached their table and called everyone’s attention. “Are you enjoying the party?” They all turned to that familiar voice to see the lady with eyeglasses waving at them. “It’s been a while!”
“Hi, aunt Mika! I see Kyouka and Yaomomo are here as well.” Eijirou greeted cheerfully.
“We haven’t seen each other in a while! Glad you could come.” Itsuka added.
“Of course! We couldn’t miss this important event, we also owed Midoriya after all.” Missus Jirou’s comment got her daughter blushing.
“‘Owed’...? What for, exactly?” Izuku asked curiously.
“Oh, come on, Midoriya, don’t be modest! You didn’t have to attend my daughter’s wedding and did all the same, so we just had to show up and support your mother as well.” Mika smiled with both hands on her waist.
“O-oh! It was no big deal!” The greenette shook his hands embarrassedly.
“You kind of forced him to it, you know…” Kyouka mumbled to her mother.
“I did not! I just didn’t want him to be cast aside while his friends had fun without him!” Mika scolded her daughter before turning back to Izuku. “By the way, Midoriya… I could sing a couple songs at the reception, if you want.” Kyouka felt alarmed by her mother’s words.
“You don’t have to! I don’t want to bother.” Said the freckled one.
“No bother at all, I really owe you that!” Missus Jirou insisted.
“Mom, do we really need to go over this again?” Kyouka said impatiently with a hand on her face.
“Come on, honey! It’s just a ceremony among friends, it’s no big deal.” The mother figure waved her hand, signaling for her daughter to relax.
“You really just want to get up on stage, don’t you…?” The cupid said slowly.
“So? What do you say, Midoriya?” Mika asked straight to the greenette with a hopeful gaze, ignoring her daughter’s comment completely.
“You don’t have to agree to it if you don’t want to, Midoriya.” Kyouka said tiredly.
“Quit pushing it, you’re pressuring him.” Katsuki scolded them both sternly.
Izuku looked at each one of them confusedly and, even though he still didn’t know missus Jirou quite so well, he knew she could push it to the last minute.
“W-well… I guess that’s not a problem.” He gave in to Mika’s content who already began to celebrate; he continued. “But that’s not my decision to make, you need to ask my mom and Yagi as well.”
“That’s enough for me! I’ll go talk to them, see you guys later!” Mika pointed a positive thumb up before rushing up to the bride and groom’s table with her daughter following close behind, trying to stop her.
“See you later, guys!” Momo waved with a fun smile on her face as she went after her wife and mother-in-law, their friends simply waved back as they watched the women leave.
Convincing the bride and groom was easier than anticipated, so the evening ended with Mika singing at the microphone and Kyouka trying to drag her out the stage; after a few speeches from the guests, the party came to a close so that the just-married couple could leave for their honeymoon.
“Take good care of my mom, Yagi.” Izuku told him in the middle of the wishes of goodbye.
“You can trust me on that, young Izuku. I promise to bring her back safely.” The eldest guaranteed.
“Thank you for everything you've been doing until now.” The greenette smiled brightly.
“Why, no need! You know how much I appreciate the both of you.” Toshinori laughed awkwardly with a hand on his neck.
“Well, I guess it's time for us to let the bride and groom go, right? Or else they might be late.” They both looked towards the voice to see Mitsuki accompanied by Inko and Katsuki.
“Oh, of course! We need to take the flight.” Yagi exclaimed as he checked his wristwatch and turned to Inko. “Let's get going, darling?”
The mother figure turned to her son who nodded, assuring her with his gaze. Inko smiled softly and took the arm Yagi offered to her, guiding her out the church towards the cab that would drive them to the airport. The guests applauded in cheer as they exclaimed their last goodbyes.
“Have lots of fun!” Izuku said as he waved at the cab.
“Take good care of aunt Inko!” Katsuki said towards Yagi.
“Behave yourselves!” Mitsuki warned to receive a nudge from her son.
They all watched the car drive away, waving until it disappeared from sight and the guests began to dissipate; the greenette smiled towards where it drove off, lost in his thoughts when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Looking up, he saw the scarlet orbs of his partner staring back at him softly. “Let’s go home?” He invited.
Izuku’s smile grew, he then followed Kacchan up to the blonde one’s car that drove them back home.
They could not let that special night end without laying together; they made a lot of memories to remember with care, however, the freckled one noticed that his partner’s mind seemed to be a bit out of place and caught himself wondering about what Katsuki could be thinking of, but decided not to make any intrusive questions and simply told him good night before falling asleep in his arms.
The next morning, Izuku woke up alone in bed; following the smell of breakfast, he found Katsuki in the kitchen.
“Good morning.” The blonde greeted him with a soft smile.
The greenette yawned and rubbed his sleepy eyes. “Good morning, Kacchan.” He said, approaching for a kiss.
The cupid kept his partner tucked under his arm as he finished the task with his other hand, winning a curious stare from the small one; after setting the table, Izuku couldn’t hold it any longer. “Kacchan… is there something bothering you?”
Katsuki set the hashis* aside with a gloomy expression and gathered up the courage to open his mouth. “Well… yes. I have something important to tell you…”
Izuku eyed him curiously, waiting for him to finish his speech; the Incubus just sighed inaudibly. “Let’s talk after breakfast, alright?”
The greenette went quiet with a pinch of disappointment, but nodded all the same and resumed eating; in the end, breakfast was a lot less pleasant than they hoped for, making Izuku curse himself for asking right at a time like that.
When dishes were done, the freckled one couldn’t hold back his curiosity any longer, it seemed to be something important after all. “Kacchan… what do you have to tell me?” He pushed it.
The Incubus eyed him with remorse and motioned to the living room. “I think we’ll have to sit down for this.”
Izuku followed him to the couch where Katsuki took his hand in his own and mentally prepared to say it. “Listen, I… It’s been some time since I moved to Mustafu… a few years, actually.”
The greenette nodded, Katsuki went on. “And that’s why the people here might suspect me.”
Izuku stared back at him confusedly. “What do you mean by that?”
“I need to disappear.”
The short one furrowed his brows. “Huh?”
“You know, the thing of being a semi-immortal entity that lives amongst humans, is that we grow older at a much slower pace, so people around us may always suspect us when time goes by and we don’t get a single year older… that’s why we always have to move and start anew from time to time.”
The greenette paused, mortified. “Oh…”
“And that’s why I need to ask if you’re up to join me on that.” Kacchan’s words caught Izuku off-guard. “I know we’re soulmates and I also don’t want to throw away everything we built until here… but I still want to give you the choice.” Katsuki continued as he didn’t get an answer. “I know it’s a tough decision, you have a whole life here after all, so I won’t push you into anything, but I want you to answer me when you’re sure, okay?”
With his eyes watering up, the greenette could only nod slowly.
The cupid leaned in and placed a kiss to his soulmate’s forehead, backing away right after and caressing the locks of green hair on his bangs.
“I love you… and, it doesn’t matter what you choose, nothing will change that.” The blonde one said.
Izuku smiled between his tears. “I love you too, Kacchan.”
Leaning in once again, Katsuki laced the other one’s shoulders in a hug, placing a last, long kiss to Izuku’s lips.
